site, be-mag, is an online (and now print) aggressive inline skating magazine.
It is by far, one of the greatest resources online for information pertaining
to skating. In terms of the layout, the phrase eye candy comes
to mind. It consists of a great mesh of green, black, and white along
with countless images. Everything is extremely organized and easy to access.
Avery good choice by the webmasters over at be-mag was to draw a box around
each article/section on the main page. This drastically improves the user-friendliness;
instead of grouping unrelated text and images, every section is clearly
marked and easily accessed. The design is overall very simple, but in
the same sense creative and attractive.
Along
with the near perfect layout, there is also a simple naviga-tion
system. There is a text based navigation bar placed very efficiently
near the top of the page. Its black and white contrast catches the viewers'
eyes which is always a good thing for a site's navigation. To make it
easier, the use of frames leaves the navigation at both the top and
bottom of the site. Major plus. Throughout the main page, you will find
links to different sections of interest. They are in no way hidden and
very easy to locate.

does not skimp on its content and updates. You are likely to
find new articles, pictures, videos, reviews, etc. each and every day.
On the main page, you will find a listing of news updates and articles
along with a few reviews and such. There's always something to read
about in the world of inline skating on their site. Their pictures section
is huge and updated regularly by site management and also photos submitted
by viewers. The only issue I have with it is the overall layout of the
pictures. It is a bit difficult to navigate because it is basically
a huge page of links. On the other hand, each link describes exactly
who is skating and what they are doing. Maybe a thumbnail option would
be fitting. Other than that, the reviews are extremely helpful and accurate
as are the updates which provide tour dates, etc. One of the most used
portions of the site is the message boards, on which you will find many
helpful people who are willing to guide you through the sport, equipment
to sell, trade, or buy, personal reviews, etc. Again, be-mag is one
of the greatest, if not the greatest, source for all your aggressive
inline skating needs. Great design, great content, great site.
